Changes in 6.4.1

January 13, 2012

  • EFT Server (standard) and Enterprise:

  • Added a registry key (ReportsConnectionString) to allow specification of an alternate database connection string for use by the reporting functionality. This allows for the use of a reduced privilege account for reporting.
  • Removed unused, default security credentials from default report definition XML files
  • Fixed an issue that caused IP addresses in the FTP/S configuration and PASV settings for the DMZ Gateway configuration to be reversed when upgrading from releases earlier than 6.4.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the proper operation of the LS command when used with a mask over the FTP and FTPS protocols

Downloads for Licensed Users

Before upgrading from EFT Server 5 to EFT Server Enterprise 6, contact the Sales team to obtain a new registration serial number or to determine your eligibility for an upgrade.  If a previous version of EFT Server, DMZ Gateway, SAT or Secure FTP Server is already installed on the server computer, it is extremely important that you follow the upgrade instructions.

Personal tech support for EFT Server Enterprise is available to licensed users that have an existing, unexpired EFT Server Enterprise Support Plan. Eligible users should contact the technical support team as shown below. For all other licensed users, please make use of the online self-help resources listed above. Limitations on Technical Support

Technical support is limited to the reporting and correction of product defects and installation and configuration assistance. At this time, personal technical support is available in English only. For assistance in other languages, please visit the User Forum. Technical support is provided in accordance with the GlobalSCAPE End of Life (EOL) and Support Life Policy. To be eligible for maintenance and technical support services, the main program as well as all associated add-on modules must be covered by an active maintenance and support plan.

While we are happy to support your usage of our products and will help in overcoming any difficulties you may encounter, Technical Support does not include advanced issues such as problems with COM development, HTML development, custom macro scripts, development of Web sites, or any other issues not directly related to the workings of our software. For help in those areas Professional Services may be available.
