Globalscape Releases Richer Cloud Functionality, Person to Person File Sharing

Keeping your organization compliant and your sensitive data secure is only possible if employees have the right tools at their fingertips - and if those tools are easy to use. EFT™ Enterprise now makes secure data exchange easier than ever. The latest release of EFT Enterprise focuses on richer functionality in the cloud and person to person file sharing through Workspaces.

Expanded Support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Deployments

Organizations are seeking different ways to respond faster to changes within their industry, while still ensuring that operational costs are lower, and profitability is higher. The cloud has become synonymous with agility, empowering organizations to operate and respond to growing business demands faster and more efficiently. We continue to make additional strides in developing secure data exchange solutions to meet the business objectives of our customers.

In EFT Enterprise v7.3.6 we have introduced support for active-active high availability in AWS using SNS/SQS integration. With this new functionality EFT can:

  • Deploy HA across multiple Availability Zones (AZs), thus providing more protection against failures in a single AZ
  • Eliminate downtime during planned maintenance and migration

Richer Functionality for Person-to-Person File Transfers

We continue to enhance the person to person file sharing functionality of Workspaces.
Over the last quarter we’ve been working hard at integrating the simplicity and security of sending files with Mail Express with the reporting and automation features in EFT. With the new enhancements to EFT users can:

  • Send files via the Web Transfer Client
  • Download files from notification emails or via Workspaces
  • Pick up files from the Workspaces web portal

If you haven’t checked out Workspaces yet, we invite you to download a trial today to see what it can do for your organization.

Enhanced Compliance-Related Features

In EFT v7.3.6 we’ve also introduced enhanced security functionality in the form of OSCP Stapling. This functionality complies with NIST Special Publication 800-52 Revision 1 (section 8) and provides enhanced compliance with HIPAA security guidance. The primary benefit of this addition to EFT is the ability to access up-to-date information about your SSL certificate status, ultimately enhancing your overall security posture.

We’re excited to introduce these productivity and security enhancing features. We will continue to deliver industry-leading functionality to control and automate the flow of data inside and outside your organization. If you would like to try the new features for yourself, download a free 30-day trial of EFT today.
