Globalscape’s EFT Enterprise Now Available on Amazon Web Services Marketplace

This blog post is the first in a series dedicated to describing our outlook on the cloud and how we plan to create value for our customers looking to deploy managed file transfer (MFT) in the cloud.

It’s nearly impossible to read a tech blog these days that does not mention the cloud in one way or another. The tech industry is fascinated with the cloud and its promise to transform enterprise IT as we know it. By 2025, between 70 and 80 percent of IT department budget will be allocated to cloud services, leaving an ever shrinking piece of the pie to enterprise data center. Put simply, we’re seeing a number of mid-market and enterprise companies who want out of the datacenter business so they can focus on their core business.

As demand for cloud services increases, we want to ensure that our customers have a number of options to enable their projects in the cloud as well as align our offerings with cloud market leaders. That is why we are pleased to share that Globalscape now offers Enhanced File Transfer™ (EFT™) Enterprise through the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace.

EFT is a managed file transfer (MFT) platform that sits at the edge of your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) network. Featuring a long list of protocol, authentication and security options, EFT gives organizations greater flexibility in meeting unique partner or internally driven requirements. Offering the best of both worlds – the full functionality of an on-premises MFT suite with the convenience of cloud-based deployment – EFT provides a faster, more reliable way to manage all file transfer activity from a central hub.

EFT provides organizations with:

  • Secure data transfers through a platform that is built to meet the highest security standards, and ensure data stays safe in transit or at rest
  • Compliance enablement features help users meet, exceed, and maintain the highest compliance standards, including PCI DSS, HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and more
  • EFT’s modular design allows users to add features as needed or as the organization grows through the addition of specific modules including enterprise file sync and share tools, automation, high availability or accelerated file transfer, to name a few
  • A turnkey deployment so that users can start transferring files in 5 minutes or less

EFT’s flexible licensing model allows customers to deploy it on-premises, in the public cloud, private cloud or as a part of a hybrid implementation.

The management and movement of data is more important than ever – and we are confronting it head-on by helping new and existing customers address their data transfer challenges as they learn more about the opportunities of cloud services. In the coming weeks we anticipate sharing additional information about other exciting opportunities that will uniquely position Globalscape to be able to serve the emerging needs of our mid-market and enterprise customers.

In the meantime, if your organization is in the process of moving part, or all, of its infrastructure to AWS, take advantage of a free 30-day trial today.
