GlobalSCAPE WAFS Enterprise is designed for companies that need both Wide Area File Services and Continuous Data Protection. Enterprise includes all the features of WAFS and CDP.

Multi-site file-sharing - byte level changes at any site are mirrored at all other sites. Full file-locking coherence and version integrity in real-time.
Backup of files - such as Office, CAD etc. Files are replicated continually and in real-time as they are saved or closed.

Consider the following example. Acme is a company with sites in NYC, Boston, Chicago and Denver. It has an engineering project with 250,000 files that must be shared between the Boston, Chicago and Denver offices; and also has 20,000 accounting files that reside at the NYC site and must be backed-up; and has 10 large source code files at the Boston site that need to be backed up.

Acme deployed the following solution:

1. In Boston, it deployed Enterprise because it needs both multi-directional solution for the engineering and source code files.
2. In Chicago it deploys WAFS which coherently synchronizes the engineering files with the Boston and Denver sites.
3. Likewise in Denver it deploys WAFS which synchronizes the engineering files with the Boston and Chicago sites.
4. Finally, it deploys CDP in NYC to backup the accounting files.
