- All WAFS Servers and Agents must be upgraded
and be running the same version of the
software. Using different versions among
WAFS Servers or Agents will result in performance
degradation and possible synchronization
problems or data loss.
- If you are upgrading from WAFS
3.0, contact the
WAFS Customer Service team for a free upgrade
license key.
- Upgrade the WAFS Server first, then upgrade
all of the WAFS Agents.
- Do not uninstall the WAFS Server or the
WAFS Agents.
- If you are using anti-virus software
that scans processes, you must add the
WAFS Agent process (AvlAgt.exe) to the
exclusion list.
- If the WAFS Agent is configured for
Delayed Startup, the WAFS Agent upgrade
process will be slowed. To turn off
Delayed Startup: On the WAFS Agent system tray menu, click Setup
and Preferences and then on the
General tab, clear the
Delayed startup check box.
- As a precaution, a complete backup
before any software upgrade is recommended.
