GlobalSCAPE Meets Growing Market Demand through New Appointments, Promotions and Increased Marketing Efforts
SAN ANTONIO – GlobalSCAPE (OTCBB:GSCP), leading the market on the integration of Managed File Transfer and Wide Area File Services technologies, today announced the promotion of Timothy J. Barton to Vice President of Operations and the appointment of Doug Conyers as the Vice President of Professional Services. The company has also named PAN Communications as its public relations agency of record.

As the Vice President of Operations, Tim is responsible for driving GlobalSCAPE's technology strategy, building on his track record of delivering market leading solutions from product definition and development through to release. Tim, who joined GlobalSCAPE in March of 2006, was previously the Vice President of Product Development and Quality Assurance. Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE, he was at SecureLogix Corporation, where he served as Chief Architect, Director of Software Engineering and ETM Development Manager. He also held positions as Research Analyst and Senior Research Analyst at Southwest Research Institute. Mr. Barton holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Slippery Rock University.
In addition, Doug Conyers has joined GlobalSCAPE as the Vice President of Professional Services. In this newly-created position, Doug will lead the Professional Services team in developing and deploying custom solutions to meet the needs of GlobalSCAPE's customers. Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE, he held positions as Chief Architect, Director of Systems Engineering and Senior Software Engineer for SecureLogix Corporation. Previous to that, he held software engineering positions with both the Southwest Research Institute and Paradigm Simulations. Mr. Conyers holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Trinity University.
GlobalSCAPE also announced it has named PAN Communications of Andover, Mass. to drive its public relations efforts and GlobalSCAPE's visibility in the market. PAN will manage and deliver the high-impact programs needed to increase visibility and market share for GlobalSCAPE, including overall strategy, counsel, messaging and Thought Leadership services, as well as handling the company's media and market analyst relationships.
