Jim Morris - Chief Executive Officer
Jim Morris joined GlobalSCAPE as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2008. He is responsible for guiding the company's strategy, growth, operations,
and customer satisfaction across GlobalSCAPE's enterprise, consumer and vertical markets.
For more than three decades, Morris has been an innovator and leader in the fields of information technology, network security, assurance, and operations
for both product-centric and independent system consulting solutions. Morris served in military intelligence, the civil service, and for the past 25 years
in senior executive positions for leading companies including; General Dynamics (VP), Veridian (VP), Veritect (EVP), Trident Data Systems (SVP), SecureInfo
(EVP/GM), and Synteras (VP).
He co-led the Y2K Cyber Assurance cell for the White house, was an independent advisor for two security software product companies, and served on numerous
industry and government review panels.
Morris is a frequent keynote speaker/panelist at trade conferences, published internationally, and has provided the expert view for national news coverage
of network risks. He has received advanced training from the national security community and served as a subject matter expert on network security-focused
delegations to the Peoples Republic of China and Australia.
Morris has received the award for Army Intelligence Action Officer of the Year and was named in Who's Who in Technology and Engineering. He also
sits on the board of directors for San Antonio's Boys and Girls Club.
Craig Robinson - President and Chief Operating Officer
Craig Robinson joined GlobalSCAPE as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2008. He is responsible for integrating and enhancing GlobalSCAPE's business and
technical operations across all functions and markets.
Robinson has more than 20 years of experience in operations, information technology, information assurance and R&D with executive experience ranging from
start-ups to multi-billion dollar corporations in the commercial and government sectors. He has held executive positions for leading companies such as
Symantec where he sequentially served in several leadership roles, including VP worldwide managed security services, VP solution delivery, and VP worldwide
product marketing. In these leadership roles, he successfully led Symantec's entry into the incident management software market and leadership quadrant
of the managed security services market.
In addition, he has held senior leadership positions at AXENT Technologies (co-founder and VP operations of consulting subsidiary Secure Network Consulting,
Inc), META Security Group (co-founder, COO, CTO), Trident Data Systems (commercial president and CIO), and most recently, Synteras (general manager).
He also is co-author of the reference Secure Internet Practices (Auerbach Publications).
Robinson serves on the boards of CoreTrace Corporation, the pioneer of client-based application whitelisting, and NewTalk, Inc., a high-technology start
up that he co-founded in 2004. He also has a pending patent for a software-based translation solution assigned to NewTalk Inc.
Robinson graduated from Stanford University with BS and MS degrees in Engineering.
William Buie - Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
William Buie joined GlobalSCAPE as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing (EVP) in 2010. He is responsible for GlobalSCAPE's inbound sales, corporate
sales, reseller/channel program, and marketing.
Most recently before joining GlobalSCAPE, Buie was the Senior Vice President, Alliance, Channel and Systems Integrator Sales for Fujitsu, a $55B global
IT services, hardware and software provider. Prior to Fujitsu, Buie was the Vice President of Global Strategic Partner Sales for Symantec, managing nearly
$1B in annual revenue representing more than 25% of the company’s annual total revenue. Bill led a team that produced a minimum of a 22% annual growth
for five consecutive years.
Prior to Symantec, Bill was the president and COO of Allure Fusion Media, focused on maximizing the company’s pioneering advantage in digital media software.
By leveraging the technology and building compelling ROI cases, Bill was able to establish strategic partnerships with Coca Cola, Dell, Gateway and IBM
Global Services to expand the brand globally and to reach cash flow goals in less than one year.
Previously, Bill was Executive Vice President of OneChem, Ltd., an application service provider to the chemical industry. Previously, Bill had served
as IBM’s marketing executive for its Websphere software and as the director of worldwide channel sales for IBM Software, driving more than $6B through
partners in software annual revenue. Before joining IBM, Bill was general manager for Maritz Performance Improvement Company, a privately-held multi-billion
dollar firm and the leader in the design and implementation of direct sales and channel incentives, driving 12 consecutive years of record revenue and
margin performance.
Bill holds a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri and attended Wharton School of Business, Finance for Executives.
Doug Conyers - Senior Vice President, Engineering
Doug Conyers joined GlobalSCAPE in 2007 and now serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering. He is responsible for product management, software development,
and quality assurance.
Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE, he held positions as chief architect, director of systems engineering, and senior software engineer for SecureLogix Corp.
An engineer for more than a decade, Conyers also held software engineering positions with both the Southwest Research Institute and Paradigm Simulations.
Conyers is the author of two patents in the telecommunications security market. Currently, he sits on the boards of Trinity University Alumni as well
as the Trinity University Computer Science Board.
Conyers graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University with a BS degree in Computer Science.
Mark Perry – Vice President, Managed Solutions
Mark Perry joined GlobalSCAPE as Vice President of Managed Solutions (VP) in 2010, responsible for GlobalSCAPE’s Managed Solutions line of business, which
includes GlobalSCAPE's Managed Information Xchange™ solution.
Perry brings to GlobalSCAPE many years of experience managing IT professional services, telecommunications, consulting, security, and risk management
divisions in large, medium, and small businesses. Perry's experience includes Senior Vice President of Fujitsu's Enterprise Business Solutions, managing
their $300M Americas professional services group, hardware, and software professional services group; Vice President of Global Consulting Services at
Symantec, where he developed the business modeling and professional practice standards for the consulting services division; Partner for the Risk and
Advisory Services at KPMG, LLP, where he directed the delivery of information security, privacy, project risk management, audit support, and business
continuity services; Senior Information Securities Consultant/Integration Team Lead at Trident Systems, where he focused on next generation Internet solutions
that offered robust network security services; and Operations Director for the European SMSCRC division with AT&T.
Perry holds certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
James L. Bindseil - Vice President, Client Support Services
James L. Bindseil joined GlobalSCAPE in 2010 and currently serves as Vice President, Client Support Services. He is responsible for leading the Technical
Support of all GlobalSCAPE product lines as well as the delivery of all Managed Solutions including Managed Information Xchange™.
Bindseil brings to GlobalSCAPE more than 20 years of experience leading and delivering IT professional services and support for all sizes of both domestic
and international businesses. Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE, Bindseil served as Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Marketing for Enterprise Business
Services at Fujitsu America, Senior Global Technical Director for Symantec Security Services at Symantec, and Senior Network Administrator for Bexar County,
Texas. Bindseil also served honorably for the United States Marine Corps.
Bindseil graduated with honors from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and has an Associate of Arts degree in Mathematics,
professional certifications from Hewlett Packard, CISCO, and Microsoft, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Ted Marchut - Vice President, Business Systems
Ted Marchut joined GlobalSCAPE in 2005 and currently serves as Vice President of Business Systems. He is responsible for developing, maintaining, and
enhancing GlobalSCAPE's technical infrastructure.
Previous to this position, Marchut was the Vice President of Consumer Products (including CuteFTP) and product manager for WAFS. Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE,
he spent six years at Pixel Magic Imaging (acquired by Dai Nippon Photo Imaging) as a product manager. At Pixel Magic Imaging he collaborated on the design,
and coordinated the development, of award winning, industry leading consumer photo kiosks, as well as behind-the-counter photo-lab systems, and a photo
sharing website. In this role, he helped patent a Digital Photo Printing and Archiving Kiosk.
Marchut has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from Texas State University.
Andrea Farmer – Vice President, Human Resources
Andrea Farmer joined GlobalSCAPE in 2008 and serves as our Vice President of Human Resources. She is responsible for taking care of our most important
resource, our people.
For more than 15 years, Farmer has managed human resources in a variety of industries and company sizes, advancing from Personnel Manager to Vice President
of Human Resources. Farmer manages her own team of human resources professionals and works closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership
in the areas of employee relations, organizational development, succession planning, welfare and business insurance, compensation plans, compliance regulations,
and organizational needs assessments. Under Farmer’s guidance, GlobalSCAPE was named among the top 50 workplaces in San Antonio for 2009 by the San Antonio
Express-News and 2010’s “Best Places to Work” by the San Antonio Business Journal.
Farmer graduated from Minot State in North Dakota with BS in Business Management and MBA degree in Business from Southern Nazarene in Oklahoma, and is
a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
